New Release: “Like a Butterfly Passing Onwards”, di EME with Diane Roblin
Roma, 4 novembre 2026 – “Like a Butterfly Passing Onwards” è l’album d’esordio di EME with Diane Roblin, pubblicato da Folderol Records e dedicato a Francesco De Ficchy.
Diane Roblin – piano
Luca Miti – piano, fisarmonica
Stefano Di Cicco – tromba
Lorenzo Labagnara – flicorno soprano, tromba
Andrea Liberati – chitarra, sax alto
Matteo Di Giamberardino – chitarra
Quinto Fabriziani – violino, ney, kaval, objects
Diego Mazzoni – batteria, percussioni
Rome, November 4, 2026 – “Like a Butterfly Passing Onwards” is the debut album by EME with Diane Roblin, released by Folderol Records and dedicated to Francesco De Ficchy.
The project began as an initiative by De Ficchy himself, who brought the ensemble together and invited Diane Roblin to join them, giving rise to a musical encounter centred on instant composition and collective listening.
The album brings together a series of compositions created in real time by a large, fluid ensemble in which acoustic, electric and electronic instruments intertwine without a predetermined hierarchy. Form emerges through the interaction between the musicians, through gesture, listening and response, and through the group’s ability to continuously transform the musical material as it unfolds.
Francesco De Ficchy took part in the recordings on mono theremin and also created the project’s art direction. “Like a Butterfly Passing Onwards” is dedicated to his memory and to the continuing presence of his music and teaching in the work of the group.
