“Where?”
“Where?” non offre risposte né direzioni prestabilite.
“Where?” is the debut album by PØP_TRIO, featuring Alberto Popolla, Økapi (Filippo E. Paolini) and Pietro Pompei.
Born from the encounter of three distinct artistic personalities, the album explores a spontaneous creative dialogue in which individual self-assertion gives way to collective expression. Rather than seeking a common ground through compromise, the three musicians allow their different identities and approaches to interact, generating a musical language in constant transformation.
The result is a sonic landscape shaped by contrasts and convergences, seemingly alien yet surprisingly familiar. Acoustic instruments, electronics and samplers intertwine, dissolving the boundaries between analog and digital and opening up unexpected electroacoustic pathways.
“Where?” offers neither answers nor predefined directions. Its title evokes a journey into the unknown, where the destination matters less than the experience of moving through uncharted territory. Perhaps it is precisely in this state of suspension that the album finds its most authentic meaning.
