Il trio riunisce tre musicisti che attraversano da decenni la musica di ricerca italiana, ciascuno con una storia propria. Walter Prati (violoncello, elettronica) viene dall‘elettroacustica e dall’improvvisazione radicale europea, con un percorso che dagli anni Ottanta lo lega a Evan Parker e all‘Electroacoustic Ensemble. Daniele Cavallanti (sax tenore, ney) — già negli Aktuala, fondatore con Tiziano Tononi della storica band Nexus e membro dell’Italian Instabile Orchestra — è tra gli interpreti italiani più fedeli del free jazz spirituale di matrice afroamericana. Toni Boselli (batteria, percussioni) porta una percussività libera, maturata nella scena milanese del jazz creativo. Insieme, lavorano in un territorio dove jazz, musica contemporanea ed elettronica non si limitano ad alternarsi né a sovrapporsi, ma si intrecciano come strategie sonore all‘interno di un unico flusso: ogni esecuzione è un racconto differente, in cui l’improvvisazione si fa stato di attenzione condivisa più che esibizione individuale.

The trio brings together three musicians who have moved through Italian research music for decades, each with a history of their own. Walter Prati (cello, electronics) comes from electroacoustics and radical European improvisation, with a path that since the 1980s has linked him to Evan Parker and the Electroacoustic Ensemble. Daniele Cavallanti (tenor sax, ney) — once in Aktuala, co-founder with Tiziano Tononi of the legendary band Nexus and a member of the Italian Instabile Orchestra — is among the most faithful Italian voices of spiritual, Afroamerican-rooted free jazz. Toni Boselli (drums, percussion) brings a free percussive language shaped by the Milanese creative-jazz scene. Together, they work in a territory where jazz, contemporary music and electronics do not merely alternate or overlap, but interweave as sound strategies within a single flow: each performance is a different story, in which improvisation becomes a state of shared attention rather than individual display.
