Psychedelic Lunch is the album by the trio of Walter Prati, Daniele Cavallanti and Toni Boselli: three distant musical histories—research electroacoustics, spiritual free jazz, free percussion—converging into a shared language without giving up their own nature. Jazz, contemporary music and electronics do not merely alternate or overlap: they interweave as sound strategies within a single flow, where improvisation becomes a state of shared attention rather than individual display. The titles say as much, from Nos Sumus Pars Omnium Entium to the title track, Psychedelic Lunch: We Are But a Part of All Beings*: a psychedelia that is not hedonistic but participatory, almost liturgical, understood in its etymological sense as “that which makes the soul manifest.” A sharing that is at once spiritual and material, and that precedes any hierarchy of possession.
